UAE-based exiled Egyptian Islamic scholar Omar Abdelkafy posted on his social media accounts on November 14, 2022, a video of his meeting with Malaysia-based Indian exiled Islamic scholar in Qatar Zakir Naik, where both scholars were invited to preach to soccer fans attending the 2022 FIFA World Cup. The two men embraced and discussed their work preaching Islam.

Naik: "One word is difficult. But I would say that Allah has chosen him to spread the message of Islam through him. So he is one of the chosen people of Allah to spread Islam."
