Iranian political analyst Emad Abshenas, editor-in-chief of the Iran Diplomatic Newspaper, warned Iran's neighbors that in case of war, Iran will attack neighboring countries and may even "wipe out some of them." In an interview with Palestine Today TV (Lebanon) on January 9, 2021, Abshenas said that "if there are reasonable people in the United States," they will not wait a "single moment" before invoking the 25th Amendment to the Constitution of the United States, which would remove President Trump from power. He later qualified his remark by saying that this is an internal American matter. Abshenas said that Iran does not need a nuclear bomb, because it could just attack the place where Israel stores its nuclear bombs, and this would have the effect of a nuclear attack. He added that the killing of 100, 200, or 1000 U.S. soldiers, the commander of CENTCOM, or even the Secretary of Defense would not be as significant as the killing of Qasem Soleimani, whose nail is worth more than all these people put together.

Emad Abshenas: "Many American politicians prefer to wait for Trump's term in office to end – this will happen in a few days – rather than invoke [the 25th] Amendment, which would constitute a precedent in American political history. Obviously, it is best if they invoke this amendment. If there are reasonable people in the United States, they must not wait a single moment before invoking this amendment. However, this is an internal America matter.

"If airplanes [attacking Iran] take off from neighboring countries, Iran will definitely attack these countries and may even wipe out some of them.

"There are countries – the UAE is one example... If a single missile lands there, all the investors will flee the UAE, and the UAE will no longer be the same.

"Iran does not need a nuclear bomb in order to attack Israel. It can easily bomb the place where the Israeli nuclear bombs are stored, and this will practically be like a nuclear bombing.

"If Iran were to kill 100, 200, or even 1,000 [U.S.] soldiers, or if it killed the CENTCOM commander in this region, or even the American Secretary of Defense – this would not be on par with the terrorist attack that killed the martyr Soleimani. If you gathered all those people together, they will not be worth the martyr Soleimani's nail.

"What does driving the Americans out of this region mean? It means that the United States will lose $8,500 billion in investments. This will be a slap in the face of the Americans, whose lives revolve around the economy and dollars. A person like Trump will hurt if he loses a dollar, not if he loses his Secretary of Defense."
