Iran Releases Footage of IRGC Seizing British Oil Tanker

On July 20, 2019, Fars News Agency (Iran) released a video of IRGC commandos seizing a British oil tanker, the Stena Impero, in the Strait of Hormuz. The operation took place on Friday, July 19. The video, which was shot from Iranian boats and from helicopters, shows several Iranian vessels and a helicopter surrounding the Stena Impero, and it shows masked commandos rappelling onto the tanker from the helicopter. A man can be heard shouting "Allah Akbar!" on one of the Iranian vessels.
