Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said in a December 16, 2020 address to a committee responsible for commemorating IRGC General Qasem Soleimani that Soleimani's shoe is worth more than the head of U.S. President Donald Trump. He elaborated that revenge would not be fully exacted even if President Trump lost his head, and he warned that revenge will be exacted upon the people responsible for Soleimani’s death as soon as the opportunity presents itself.
Iranian Supreme Leader Khamenei: "As a dear friend has said, Soleimani's shoe is worth more than the head of the man who murdered him. Even if the murderer loses his head, this ransom would not equal Soleimani's shoe. Revenge must be exacted upon them for the insolent [killing of Soleimani]. Those who gave the orders and those who carried out the murder must know that the moment the opportunity presents itself – and this will become possible, we are searching for ways to do this – revenge will be exacted upon them for [killing Soleimani]."
