Iran TV: The Israeli Athletes Competing In The Paris Olympics Are All Part Of The Military: They Have Been Participating In The Genocide In Gaza; 26 Of Them Are Extreme Anti-Palestinian Fascists

Iranian TV host Elham Abedini said in her July 23, 2024 monologue on a Channel 3 (Iran) show that all the Israeli athletes are part of the military. She explained that they all completed their compulsory service and that some of them are currently active-duty soldiers and serve in the capacity of "elite athletes." Abedini claimed that 26 of the athletes have "extreme right-wing anti-Palestinian tendencies" and are in fact "anti-Palestinian fascists." She shared a poster prepared by Collectif Palestine Vaincra, which shows photos of "Zionist athletes who are in Paris now."

Elham Abedini: "Some Zionist military personnel have traveled to Paris to protect the Zionist athletes. In fact, they have escorted them to Paris, due to possible security concerns, and [the fear] that something might happen to them.

"However, another aspect of this story is that some of these athletes – in fact, many of them – are part of the military. The compulsory military service in the occupied lands is very long, but they have all completed their service.  A large group of them are identified as 'elite athletes.' 'Elite athlete' is a term used by the Zionist regime and is given to those athletes who are officially in the military as soldiers of the Zionist regime and simultaneously pursue a professional sport.

"Now, from the 90 athletes that are participating in the Paris Olympics, 26 have extreme right wing, anti-Palestinian tendencies, and are anti-Palestinian fascists. Nine of them are officially serving in the Zionist army. Here, you can see some of their photos. She is one of the athletes in Paris who is a surfer and you can see her photo. She is also serving as an active duty Zionist.

"The next photo is another example. This is a photo that a group of Palestinian supporters have prepared, and it includes several photos of Zionist athletes who are in Paris now, and are scheduled to participate in the Olympics on behalf of the Zionist regime.

"Based on many posts on their social media accounts, or via a simple search online, you can see they serve the Zionist regime, and clearly have been participating in the past nine-month-long genocide, orchestrated against the people of Gaza."
