Admiral Ali Shamkhani, the secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, said in a May 31, 2019 speech he gave via video at Hamas' Quds Day event in Gaza that Israel is in a state of "weakness and feebleness" and is "on its way to perdition" because the balance of power has changed and because it has been facing defeat at the hands of the Islamic resistance. He said that the people of Palestine will be able to bury Israel's "malicious plan" through their Jihad and their persistence on the "path of truth," and that Palestine will be liberated with Jerusalem as its capital. He added that Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei said that Israel will cease to exist within two decades. This video aired on Mayadeen TV (Lebanon).
Shamkhani: "The Zionist entity that claims to be spreading from the Nile to the Euphrates is currently in a state of weakness and feebleness. It is on its way to perdition. This entity has managed to defeat the largest armies in the Arab world in several classic wars and has managed to expand its occupied lands by cutting out chunks of other countries' lands. But the balance of power has changed, and for the first time in the history of this illegitimate entity, it has suffered shameful defeats in every war it has waged against the Islamic resistance.

"Oh men and women of the resistance, this time – as in previous times – you will be able to bury this malicious plan. Through your Jihad, your struggle, and your persistence in the path of truth, you will prove that the weakest of homes is the home of the spider. All of Palestine and its capital Jerusalem must be liberated, without giving up one inch of the land of beloved Palestine. As Ali Khamenei said – Palestine is from the river to the sea, and there is no doubt that Jerusalem is its capital, and within two decades, there will be no such thing called Israel."
