Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad: America's Straw-Like Strength and Satanic Rule over the World Is about to Be Annihilated

Following are excerpts from an interview with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, which aired on Iranian Channel 1 on November 27, 2006.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad: [The Americans] should leave our region. All the countries in the region should be vigilant, and should know that, with the help of God, America's strength is fading. America's straw-like strength and satanic rule over the world is about to be annihilated. The tool in the hands of the rule of hegemony – the Zionist regime – is on a slippery slope towards collapse and disgrace. We should be careful. The peoples and governments of the region should be vigilant, and should not be led astray by the satanic plots of the enemies.

Today is the day of unity among peoples and of solidarity among governments. We should join hands and help the people of Iraq, and help Palestine, Afghanistan, and Lebanon. Today, by helping one another, we can drive the foreigners out of our region.

I have a piece of advice for some of the superpowers. I think it is high time the leaders of America and England listened carefully.

Today, you have reached the end of the road - both in our region and all over the world. This method of yours – your aggressive language, your language of selfishness, of the degradation and the coercion of the peoples - has come to an end. I would like to tell you that today, your collapse and the process of disintegration of your satanic rule have begun. You have no support – neither among the peoples of the region, nor among the other peoples of the world. I advise you to stop committing crimes. Stop your inhumane methods. Stop supporting these dishonorable and murderous Zionists.

You've got stuck in a quagmire, and you cannot move either forward or backwards. The Iranian nation is willing to help you get out of this quagmire, on condition that you return to a way of thinking that is just, that you accept the truth, and stop your aggression and invasions, and make a commitment to mend your ways. Then the peoples of the region, and primarily the Iranian people, will be willing to show you the way to salvation.
