On March 8, 2022, Channel 1 (Iran) aired a report about the launching of the Noor2 military satellite by the IRGC. According to the report, the Iranian-made Noor2 satellite was successfully launched, took position in orbit, and sent a signal to ground control. IRGC Aerospace Force Commander General Amir-Ali Hajizadeh said that Iranians are destined to reach space, and that without reaching space, all other things that Iranians do will be incomplete. IRGC Aerospace Force Space Commander General Ali Jafarabadi said that the mission of Noor2 is to carry out measurement and detection operations, and he said that many civilian and military satellites will be launched. He added that he believes that Iran will reach the second phase of launching satellites to an altitude of 36,000 kilometers within 5-6 years.
Narrator: "The Noor2 satellite and its launcher, Qased. They are both Iranian-made. This honor was erected today in the heart of Iran's central desert. The mission of Noor2 was to cross [an altitude] of 500 kilometers, reach space, and enter orbit. The countdown."
Reporter: "This is the moment that the Noor2 satellite is launched into space. Inshallah, in a few moments, it will cross the skies of Iran, and will position itself in orbit, 500 kilometers above the ground. This is a great and important achievement that a very limited number of countries have accomplished."
Narrator: "The Noor2 satellite, whose speed is 7,600 meters [per second], has penetrated the skies, to reach space. The commanders supervised Noor's movements."
Launch Operator: "The engine of the third stage was ignited."
Narrator: "480 seconds, which is 8 minutes, after the launch, Noor2 successfully took position in orbit, 500 kilometers above ground, and immediately sent a signal to the ground control."
Launch Operator: "Allah Akbar! We received the [signal] from the satellite."
Narrator: "Iran is the first Islamic country that can both build and launch satellites."

"The main program of our country is, first of all, to get into position in the Low Earth Orbit. This means that many satellites, both civilian and military, will be launched, and then we will move on to the second phase - an orbit at an altitude of 36,000 kilometers. Inshallah, if our leaders and officials support this, I believe that we will meet the 36,000-kilometer goal within 5-6 years."
