Molavi Abdolhamid Ismaeelzahi, a prominent Iranian Baloch Sunni spiritual leader,, said in a Friday, January 27, 2023 sermon in Zahedan, Baluchestan that the Iranian people want a peace-seeking country rather than a warmongering one. He said that Iran should have a foreign policy of de-escalation, that there should be peace in Palestine, and that both the Israelis and the Palestinians deserve an independent state. He also said that today, people are shouting for the same justice, freedom, and independence that they shouted for during the Islamic Revolution in 1979.
Molavi Abdolhamid Ismaeelzahi: "The Iranian people stood together in the Revolution of 1979, and fought for their freedom and justice. [They revolted] to get their rights and to restore pride to Iran, and so that Iran's resources would benefit our nation alone.

"Today, the people are shouting for the same things. They are shouting for justice. They are not asking for a lot. They do not want much, they want justice!

"The Iranian people believe that there should be de-escalation of tensions in our foreign relations and foreign policy. The people want Iran to be a peace-seeking country, not a warmongering country.

"The Iranian people also want peace in Palestine. They believe that the Israeli government and the Palestinian people should make peace, and that the Palestinians should have an independent government. There should be two separate governments. It is not that only the Palestinians should heave their own state, and get to rule their land. Israel, too, should have its own separate state."
