The following are excerpts from a news story about the Iranian-produced "Ghadir" submarine", which aired on Iranian Channel 2 on May 10, 2005
Reporter: The Ghadir submarine is entirely Iranian, and was built Defense Ministry experts. This is, of course, only a scale model. Our reporter really wanted to film this submarine's production line, but this was not possible due to security reasons. The Ghadir can locate the ships and submarines of Iran's enemies with precision and strike at them. The Ghadir systems make it difficult for even advanced radars to track the submarine underwater.
