Iraqi Shiite Militia Leader Qais Khazali outside of U.S. Embassy in Baghdad: This Embassy Spies and Schemes against Iraq

Qais Khazali, the Secretary-General of Asa’ib Ahl Al-Haq, an Iraqi Shiite militia, was interviewed by Mayadeen TV (Lebanon) on December 31, 2019 outside of the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad, which was stormed that day by supporters of Iran-backed militias in Iraq. Khazali said that the U.S. Embassy is the center of spying and scheming against Iraq and of conspiracies to destroy Iraq and violate its sovereignty.

Qais Khazali: It has been proven that this [American] embassy schemes and spies against Iraq. This embassy is where the plans to destroy Iraq are managed. This is a place where conspiracies are hatched against Iraq. It supports the saboteurs and the American joker. This is the place where the plans to destroy this country are managed. This is the place from which Iraq’s sovereignty is being violated.
