On October 28, 2020, Channel 1 (Iran) aired a documentary titled "Headman's Nakedness." In an interview, IRGC Aerospace Force Commander General Amir-Ali Hajizadeh said that by killing IRGC Qods Force Commander Qasem Soleimani, the Americans had attempted to sow hopelessness in the ranks of the "resistance axis," but that the Iranian reprisal attack on Ayn Al-Asad actually lifted the morale of the "resistance." He said that the attack also caused the people of the countries that the U.S. had beaten in World War II, Germany and Japan, to rejoice because they felt that Iran had carried out their revenge.
General Hajizadeh said that this caused Russia, China, and many other countries to realize "what America really is" and that America isn't as powerful as it seems. Later in the documentary, a montage of videos of Iran's military and missile capabilities was shown, and an animation showed U.S. President Donald Trump, Vice President Mike Pence, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, First Lady Melania Trump, Ivanka Trump, Jared Kushner, and other prominent figures being targeted by crosshairs.
Amir-Ali Hajizadeh: "[The Americans] wanted to weaken the resistance axis and to sow exasperation and hopelessness among them by saying they attacked the symbol of the resistance [Soleimani]. But the opposite happened. After they saw that we attacked Ayn Al-Asad, the morale [of the resistance] increased. In addition, the same countries and peoples that had been beaten by America during World War II rejoiced. The Germans rejoiced. The Japanese rejoiced. Many rejoiced, because they somehow felt we had carried out their revenge.

"After the [Ayn Al-Asad attack], the Russians, the Chinese, and many of the countries in the region changed their assessments of the situation. Only then did they realize what America really is. Look, the real America is the America that saw the Iranian people at Ayn Al-Asad and when [we] downed their spy plane. That's the real America. I had a meeting with the military commanders from various countries. They constantly asked me: 'How did you reach the decision to down the American spy plane? Didn't you think they would respond? Weren't you afraid?' I explained to them that America has its outer appearance, and then there is what's actually inside. Its outer appearance is built by Hollywood— the notion that everybody should be scared and worried that America is strong, and that it does what it can, and that it is a global power. But there is also what's on the inside, and [what I described] is what's on the inside."
