In a November 29, 2024 address aired on IRINN TV (Iran), General Mohammad-Reza Naghdi, Deputy IRGC commander-in-chief for coordination, threatened Israel with a second "Al-Aqsa Flood," claiming it would completely "finish off" the country. Naghdi argued that the October 7, 2023 Al-Aqsa Flood demonstrated the need for offensive action against Israel, warning that failing to push the attack to Tel Aviv and liberate Jerusalem would lead to Israel killing civilians. Responding to questions about a third "Operation True Promise," following the direct Iranian missile attacks on Israel in April and October, Naghdi emphasized his focus on a second "Al-Aqsa Flood" operation, which he claimed would surpass the October 7 attack. He added that the upcoming conflict would make the past year seem like a "walk in the park" for Israelis. The clip ends with the audience chanting "Death to Israel."
Mohammad-Reza Naghdi: "The experience of the Al-Aqsa Flood teaches us that we should not take a defensive approach against the Zionist regime. We should attack this regime. The Al-Aqsa Flood demonstrates that if the offensive does not continue all the way to Tel-Aviv and the liberation of Jerusalem, they will start slaughtering the civilians.
