IRGC Navy Commander Admiral Alireza Tangsiri: We Will Retaliate Against Any Country That Allows Israel To Use Its Territory To Conspire Against Iran

IRGC Navy Commander Admiral Alireza Tangsiri said in a March 1, 2023 interview on the Arabic-language Al-Alam TV (Iran) that Iran would retaliate against any country that allows Israel to use its territory to conspire against Iran. He explained that even though the Iranians believe that Islam prohibits shedding the blood of fellow Muslims, it would have no choice but to retaliate against countries that have brought Zionists into their territory.

Reporter:  "In the face of the [Israeli] threats, have you sent clear messages to the opposite side?"

Alireza Tangsiri: "Yes, definitely. If they wish to attack us from the territory of any country, or take advantage of the airspace of any country... We do not seek conflict with any such country. The Islamic Republic of Iran, and we as its citizens, believe that it is religiously forbidden for Muslims to shed other Muslims' blood, and that Muslims are not allowed to fight each other. It is even forbidden for a Muslim to bully his fellow Muslim. However, when they bring Zionists [to their countries] — I am not talking about Jews, but about Zionists, who are thieves, child-killers, who occupy Muslim lands and conspire against us — what are we supposed to do? We will indeed retaliate twofold and crush any area which plots against Iran's interests originate. These are not just slogans, but practical measures."
