On April 19, 2019, Ofogh TV (Iran) aired a documentary titled “Face to Face with Satan.” In the documentary, former IRGC Navy commander General Ali Fadavi said: “Our plans state that the Americans must leave the Persian Gulf.” The documentary also featured an interview with current the IRGC Navy commander, General Alireza Tangsiri, who said that the Americans have bolstered their presence in the Persian Gulf since 1985. He also said that Iran has “smacked [the Americans] on the mouth" six times, but that he cannot disclose details for security reasons.

Following are excerpts:

General Ali Fadavi: In order to continue its control over the world, and in order to prevent the counter-control of those who ruled following WWII, America has one tool and one tool only: Presence in the Persian Gulf. Our plans state that the Americans must leave the Persian Gulf.

Genera Alireza Tansgiri: Since 1985, the Americans have bolstered their presence [in the Persian Gulf]. In 1987, they joined the battle and, in fact, supported Saddam, but we smacked them on the mouth. We still cannot reveal many of the cases for security reasons, but we gave the Americans six strong slaps.
