An April 29, 2024 video posted on Ammonnews.net features three Jordanian MPs who have joined the "Gaza Freedom Flotilla" in Istanbul, Turkey. Ahmad Al-Qatawneh said that the men intend to break the siege until they join their brothers in Gaza. Hassan Al-Riyati, who was suspended for two years in 2022 after a parliament floor fistfight, said that they have written their wills and that they have come with the intention of waging Jihad, and they ask Allah to grant them martyrdom. Yanal Fraihat said that they will sacrifice not only their efforts and time, but they will sacrifice their souls and blood to redeem their people in Gaza, Palestine, Jerusalem, and the Al-Aqsa Mosque. During their trip to Turkey, the three MPs also met with Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh.
Ahmad Al-Qatawneh: "Unfortunately, we were unable to set sail yet, but we are still hopeful, and with the help of Allah, we will break the siege, by land, by sea, or by air, until we join our brothers on the land of Gaza, Allah willing."
