Turkey-based Kuwaiti-Palestinian academic Sami Al-Arian gave a lecture at the Hamad Bin Khalifa University in Doha, Qatar titled: "Islamic Revival Amidst Western Dominant Discourse." He said that the Europeans planted their "Jewish problem" into "the heart of the Muslim world" in order to get rid of their "excess Jews that they didn't like" and to weaken the Muslim nations. Al-Arian added that the Zionist movement's objectives are all evil, they use bribes, intimidation, and coercion tactics. He said that dismantling the state of Israel has the potential to free the whole world from Western and Jewish supremacy. Al-Arian stated that the goal of Muslims is to dismantle Israel and to weaken Western hegemony. The lecture was posted on the YouTube channel of the CIGA - Center for Islam and Global Affairs on April 24, 2024.
Sami Al-Arian, a former professor at the University of South Florida, was a political activist in the U.S. and was invited to the White House several times during both the administrations of Bill Clinton and George W. Bush. In 2015. Al-Arian was deported to Turkey following criminal proceedings involving links to Palestinian terror groups. On April 26, 2024, Sami Al-Arian posted on X – formerly Twitter - a photo of his wife Nahla Al-Arian at the Columbia University encampment.
Sami Al-Arian: "The [Europeans] planted their Jewish problem – because they didn't like their Jews, they were persecuting them – so they transplanted them from Europe into the heart of the Muslim world.
"So they dealt with problems at once, on one hand, they got rid of their excess Jews that they didn't like, they implanted them in the heart of the Muslim world, to make sure [the Muslims] would be kept weak, fragmented, exhausted, dependent, unable to make any kind of civilization progress.

"The Zionist movement basically is a settler colonialist, supremacist, racist, aggressive movement, that is trying to replace one people with another.

"In terms of the Abdullah Azzam model [of resistance], I would take issue with that, because with all deference, respect, and love for Sheikh Abdullah Azzam, that model does not work.

That means this needs the whole energy and the whole collective will and action of the Islamic nation, and even beyond the Islamic nation, because we see today, that one of the things that we have seen after October 7, is how this issue was able to be embraced by forces beyond the Muslim world.
"So this issue actually has the potential to free the whole world from this notion of supremacy – Western supremacy, Jewish supremacy, and white supremacy.
