Kuwaiti Islamic Scholar And Muslim Brotherhood Leader Tareq Al-Suwaidan: My Role Is To Wage Jihad; Do You Want This 'Filthy Entity' To Keep Ruling Over Us Forever? Israel Will Not Be Removed By Its Own Devices, Someone Needs To Do It

Kuwaiti Islamic scholar and Muslim Brotherhood leader Tareq Al-Suwaidan spoke in an August 28, 2024 interview with Arabic Post uploaded to YouTube on August 28, 2024 about the ramifications of the October 7, 2023 Al-Aqsa Flood Hamas attack. He said that he does not cry for the martyrs in Gaza, rather he cries for not being among them, saying that all Muslims should aspire to achieve martyrdom. Al-Suwaidan said that in Islam preserving life isn’t the highest priority, rather it is preserving the religion, and this is where Jihad comes in. Al-Suwaidan added that Israel will not “be removed by its own device,” but someone needs to do it, and this would require sacrifice. He stated that it is not the resistance’s fault if “this filthy entity” is killing innocent people.

Tareq Al-Suwaidan, was fired from his position as director of the Saudi Al-Risala TV in 2013, after announcing online that he is a Muslim Brotherhood leader. He currently resides in Turkey. Al-Suwaidan spent several years as an Islamic leader in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was an unindicted co-conspirator in the case against Hamas terrorism funding by the Holy Land Foundation, and has been banned from entering several countries, including the United States and Belgium, for antisemitism and supporting terrorism.

Tareq Al-Suwaidan: "By Allah, what happened during the Al-Aqsa Flood should be taught in the most prestigious colleges. The planning was unbelievable. People who are experts in planning know that what happened could only succeed with divine intervention, and profound and extraordinary planning.

[...]

"Can you see how many young men and women in our Arab world – forget the Arab world, in the West – consider [Hamas's Al-Qassam Brigades spokesman] Abu Obeida a role model?

[...]

"The Al-Aqsa Flood is the best leadership training course in the world."

[...]

Interviewer: "Blood is flowing in Gaza like rivers. Where is the victory that we were promised? Why is there no divine intervention to stop the bloodshed of children, women, the elderly, and to stop the hunger in Gaza?"

[...]

Al-Suwaidan: "Man, I do not cry for them. I am crying for myself for not being among them. This is how a believer should aspire for martyrdom.

[...]

"Preserving life is not the only objective of the shari'a – these include the preserving of religion, life, lineage, intellect, and property. These are the main objectives of the shari'a. Which one of these objectives has higher priority? It is preserving religion, not preserving life. This is why there is a thing called 'Jihad.' If preserving life had the priority, there would be no Jihad – we would abolish it. Preserving religion takes priority over preserving life.

[...]

"We should not say: 'They were killed because you waged Jihad.' My role is to wage Jihad and liberate my nation and my country. Do you want this filthy entity to keep ruling over us forever? We must remove it. It is an abnormal entity in terms of geography and history. It will not be removed by its own device. Somebody must remove it. The people who remove it must make sacrifices. It is not the resistance's fault that this filthy entity is killing innocent people. It is the fault of that filthy entity and all the accusations should be directed at it, and not at the resistance."
