Lebanese Army Holds "Snake BBQ," Soldiers Say: We Will Cut off the Heads of Our Enemies like We Cut off These Snakes' Heads (Warning: Graphic)

Warning: Graphic. On July 6, 2019 MTV (Lebanon) aired a "snake BBQ" held by the Lebanese military's airborne brigade. The soldiers in the event held up snakes and said: "We will cut off the heads of those who harm the security of the homeland just like we cut the heads off of these snakes, General, sir!" The soldiers then ate the snakes.

Reporter: "Right here, right here, right here! Something is about to happen now. Look here – the airborne brigade. 'Snake Barbecue' Mom, you'd better turn around now... I have never seen you so satisfied – satisfied with your rifles... I'm not getting any closer to the snakes. Do I have to eat snakes in order to join the brigade? Show us how the 'barbecue' is done. Look how he holds it. Do you want to say something?"

Soldier: "Before we eat the snake, we have a slogan that we always say: 'We will cut off the heads of those who harm the security of the homeland, just like we cut the heads off of these snakes, General, sir!'"
