Walid Jumblatt: If you think that we will stand idly by, you are imagining things. We might be forced to leave scorched earth. Our existence, our honor, our survival, and Lebanon are more important than anything else. You want anarchy? We welcome anarchy. You want war? We welcome war.
We have no problem with weapons. We have no problem with weapons or missiles. We will take the missiles from you, ready to fire. We have no problem with martyrdom or suicide. We've had enough humiliation and accusations of treason. We've had enough assassinations and contempt. No [Nasrallah], it is not fitting for you to keep making these despicable statements all the time. Forget about the others. Forget about the wall [built around Al-Dhahiya]. If Darwin could see them today... They are the best proof of the theory of Darwin – [Nawwaf] Al-Musawi, and all the others.
We have had enough of the open war with Israel under false slogans, in the service of the Syrian regime and the Iranian empire.

Hizbullah official Nawwaf Al-Musawi: You known that Darwin’s theory has developed, and many changes have been introduced into it. In general, this is a theory about improvement - an inferior being develops into a superior being. But what applies to Walid Jumblatt is a theory of regression, not improvement. He may have started out as a human being, but he has regressed and regressed, until he has descended beyond the bottomless pit. His appearance reminds me of... In the film “The Lord of the Rings,” there is a character called Smeagol. If you remember, that Smeagol... Compare the picture of Walid Jumblatt to that of Smeagol. Jumblatt reminds me of him.
Al-Jazeera TV, February 11, 2008
Lebanese Druze leader Wiam Wahhab: Let me ask you, is Walid Jumblatt a beast or a human being? This question warrants an answer. You must be a beast if you say such things about people with families and children.

You dare to talk about justice? If there were any justice, wouldn't they have hanged you 20 years ago? If there were any justice in this country, you would have been the first to be executed.
[...]
Why do you want a civil war? Haven't you quenched your thirst for blood yet, even though you killed 5,000 people? What justice are you talking about? If there were any justice, would you still be in this country? Let me tell you another thing. If the issue of missiles still bothers you - nobody is going to use missiles against you. But if you start a civil war, the missiles will reach your bedroom.
Future TV, February 12, 2008
Walid Jumblatt: In my opinion, it is impossible to coexist with Hizbullah.
Interviewer: What do you mean?
Walid Jumblatt: I'm not talking about all the Shiites.
Interviewer: So your speech was directed towards Hizbullah?
Walid Jumblatt: I am not talking about the Arab, Lebanese, Shiite citizens, who are essential for this country – the Shiites who were educated by Musa Sadr and Muhammad Mahdi Shams Al-Din, and other great scholars from Jabal Amal. The social and political Shiite revolution started in Jabal Amal.

In my opinion, we cannot coexist with such a totalitarian party. If we go to war, we will destroy the country.
Interviewer: But in your speech, you said: "We are ready for war."
Walid Jumblatt: In my opinion, we need to find a way to have a friendly divorce.
Interviewer: What do you mean by “divorce”? The partitioning of Lebanon?
Walid Jumblatt: This country is too small to be partitioned.
Interviewer: So what is the way?
Walid Jumblatt: Hizbullah, which gets its orders from that world of evil in Iran - Ahmadinejad and all the others... We see the dictatorship of the Iranian Mullahs against the reformists. [This dictatorship] passes through Syria, where there is a man and a regime that do not recognize Lebanon or its identity. In my opinion, we have no choice but to reach a formula that says: Keep your weapons, your culture, your media, and the areas you control, but let us live our lives.

When Hassan Nasrallah talks about body parts, he is not threatening just the Jews. He is threatening us too. I’m sad to say that the agents of Syria have turned Antoine Ghanem, Walid ‘Ido, and others into body parts. Nasrallah says: Beware, we have body parts of the Jews, and I will turn you into body parts too. Okay, we got the message. We are not asses, we are not stupid. He shouldn't pretend that he doesn't know what’s going on. He pretended to be nice and said that no security compounds were left. He has turned the entire country into compounds. We’ve begun to be suspicious of each and every building. His security agency is everywhere, controlling everything.
