Nabih Berri, Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, said that Syria had achieved a "balance of terror" with Israel and the response to a future Israeli strike would be inside Israel proper. Nabih Berri: It was clear that the Syrian response [to the Israeli strikes] served as a warning – a very severe warning, using missiles that the Israelis cannot intercept.
