Lebanese Singer-Turned-Islamist Fadl Shaker Recruits Money and Volunteers on Facebook to Fight against Hizbullah and Pro-Assad Forces in Syria

Following are excerpts from a video featuring Lebanese singer Fadl Shaker, which was posted on the Internet on April 23, 2013:

Fadl Shaker: I am Fadl Abd Al-Rahman Shaker, your brother in faith. I would like to inform our people, our sons, the pure mujahideen in our beloved Syria from the Free Syrian Army and the brigades of the mujahideen, that in response to the massacres perpetrated by the despicable and abhorred Alawite pro-Assad brigades, and by the criminal sectarian party of Hassan NasrSatan, and his filthy rats, who are killing our people in Syria in general and in Al-Qusayr in particular, I hereby declare that I adopt the declaration of our sheik, Ahmad Al-Assir Al-Husseini, regarding the establishment of free brigades of resistance, regarding a general mobilization of support for our people in Syria, and regarding the preparation of young Muslim men who wish to defend the honor of the pure and respectable Muslim women in Syria.

We therefore call for moral and material support for our Jihad in Syria. Allah said: “Wage Jihad with your property and your souls.” You can reach us via the email appearing on the screen. Salaam Aleikum. Allah’s blessings upon you.
