Lebanese Journalist Fuad Al-Kharsa: Germany Helped The Jews After October 7 Because They Were Afraid They Would Return To Europe; The Germans Want To Exonerate Themselves From The 'False Holocaust'

On an October 25, 2024, broadcast on Al-Alam TV (Iran), Lebanese journalists Fuad Al-Kharsa and Ghassan Jawad discussed Europe’s relationship with Israel. Al-Kharsa suggested that Germany’s support for Israel after the October 7 attacks was motivated by a fear that Jews would return to Europe. Jawad shared an anecdote from a European diplomat, who allegedly told him that Europeans support Jews because they fear they might return to Europe. Al-Kharsa responded by saying that Germany is attempting to exonerate itself for the "false Holocaust." Jawad, in turn, stated that as an Arab, he has no issue acknowledging the Holocaust, emphasizing that it was the Europeans, not Arabs, who were responsible for the racism towards Jews and killing them.

Ghassan Jawad: "The Germans have a guilt complex about the Jews..."

Fuad Al-Kharsa: "They came to rescue the Jews from what happened on October 7, in order to prevent them from going to [Europe]. In other words, they tried to keep [the Jews] where they are, so that they do not present a danger for Europe eventually, if they spread there. Previously they were told to return where they came from..."

Jawad: "A Western diplomat told me this, and the following day, I was asked not to repeat it. He told me in a moment of absent-mindedness: 'We support them so that they do not come back to us.' Then he laughed. The following day I received a call, and they said that [the diplomat] asked that you do not quote him. But now, after six or seven years, I can speak about it. This is how they view them."

Al-Kharsa: "The relationship between them is that they fear the [Jews]."

Jawad: "Yes, right. When you read the history of the Jews in Europe and the Diaspora..."

Al-Kharsa: "To this very day, the Germans are trying to say that they want to exonerate themselves for the sake of history, because for them, it seems that the false Holocaust is still..."

Jawad: "The claim that six million Jews were killed..."

Al-Kharsa: "It is a false Holocaust, but from time to time, the Germans try to prove it, I do not know why, keeping in mind that their interests in the region are a lot larger than..."

Jawad: "I, personally, as an Arab, do not have a problem in believing that the Holocaust [happened], because I do not bear the responsibility for it. Therefore, we did not act in a racist way towards the Jews. It was you who killed them. Whether [the Holocaust] happened or not, it was not an Arab or Islamic act."

Al-Kharsa: "Right."

Jawad: "Why should the Palestinians suffer the consequences – being driven out of their land – of what you have done?"
