Following Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu's address to the joint session of Congress on July 24, 2024, Lebanese researcher Amin Saleh said in an Al-Manar TV (Hizbullah-Lebanon) show that Congress is “controlled by the Jews and Zionists.” He continued to evoke a narrative popular in the Arab world, falsely attributed to Benjamin Franklin, warning the American people against Jewish immigration, because the Jews would take over America. Saleh continued to say that the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, which state that the Jews must rule the world, explain how they “rule over the greatest country in the world today – America.”
Amin Saleh: "I saw today on TV that there were two scenes in Washington. One scene was that of the Congress, which is controlled by the Jews and the Zionists. This is what American President [sic] Franklin warned [the Americans] about, when the American Constitution was declared in 1787. I was reminded of this when I heard Netanyahu and the applause. I don't know, someone wrote that there were more than fifty [rounds of applause]. I saw that and I wanted to tell them that they should stay standing and applauding him for as long as he says all those lies. The American president told [the Americans] in 1787 that if the Jews kept immigrating to America at this rate, in a hundred years they would rule America, and America would not belong to the Americans anymore.

"The other scene... and by the way, this scene shows the deep-state in America – the hub of the capitalist empire that is controlled by the Jews and by the Zionists. This financial, industrial, and military hub demonstrates what Franklin said in 1787.

"As I've said, this shows that Franklin's prophecy was true – today, despite America's power, it has fallen under the Zionist financial influence. All the financial investment houses in America, the entire oil industry, and all the arms industries in America are under Zionist influence. Let's read the Protocols of the Elders of Zion. It says: 'We should rule the world. We are the only government that should rule the world. All the rulers in the world are fools who do not know how to rule the world.' Thus, they rule over the greatest country in the world today – America. There is no other explanation."
