Naser Al-Hadmi, the Head of the "Jerusalem Anti-Judaization Committee," said in a July 24, 2020 interview on Al-Jazeera Network (Qatar) that the Palestinian people are the ones who should be the happiest about Hagia Sophia becoming a mosque once again and hosting Islamic prayers. He said that this is a reminder that the Al-Aqsa Mosque will also be liberated, and it is a sign that the Islamic nation has awoken from its "slumber." Al-Hadmi added that the power of the Islamic nation will continue to expand until it liberates the Al-Aqsa Mosque, mosques in Spain, Europe, and elsewhere.
Naser Al-Hadmi: "Let me start by saying that I am convinced that the Palestinian people – and especially the people of Jerusalem – are the ones who should be the happiest about the re-conversion of the Hagia Sophia Mosque to its natural state. The people of Jerusalem saw the many thousands of people who came to pray in the [Hagia Sophia] Mosque. The people of Jerusalem saw this as good tidings and as a reminder about setting out to liberate the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.

"When they saw these masses coming to Hagia Sophia on the night before, to camp out near the mosque, hoping to get a place in the mosque in order to pray there for the first time in 86 years... This scene signals to the people of Jerusalem that the [Islamic] nation has woken from its slumber, and that there is a lot of good in this nation. It will not stop at the Hagia Sophia Mosque. No! Allah willing, it will continue not only until the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque is liberated, but even our mosques in Spain, in Europe, and anywhere that mosques were attacked, plundered, and taken away from the Muslims."
