In a March 1, 2020 speech in honor of Saviours' Day, Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan recounted a meeting with Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin. Farrakhan said that Martin came to his house with a few Jewish friends who had come to ask him some questions. He explained that anyone who came to his house came to be taught, and that God let him know the motive for asking the questions. Farrakhan said: "Elijah Muhammad prepared a young man to become God – enough to challenge Satan and defeat him." The speech was posted on various social media accounts because the Nation of Islam's official YouTube account was removed.
Louis Farrakhan: "Do you know, the musicians Coldplay?"
Audience: "Yeah!"

Farrakhan: "The leader of Coldplay is Martin. He came to my home. He wanted to hear me play the violin. You don't come to my home and I'm entertaining you. You come into my home it's like coming to God in a mosque. You come to be taught.
"Look, Chris Martin flew on his own jet, or he had his own plane, and he brought a few Jewish friends of his. Now they're going to scope me out. Sitting in my living room, asking me questions. See when you ask me a question, I immediately consult God. Wait, wait, wait. You asked me a question. I'm listening, by the time you finish your question, God has given me the answer. But He also let me know your motive for asking the question. So, I can answer your question and address your motive. As any of them had come to me and asked me. What I'm trying to tell you is, Elijah Muhammad prepared a young man to become God – enough to challenge Satan and defeat him."
