In an August 23, 2024 Friday sermon at the Islamic Society of North Jersey in Flanders, NJ, imam Khalil Adem said that YouTube influencers are starting to "expose Israel for what it is" and asking why it is controlling America. He said that Allah has told Muslims about the characteristics of the Jews in the Quran, labeling those who cause corruption in the land, causing havoc, and killing as "Jews." Adem explained that today, Muslims refer to such people as "Zionists." He stated that Allah has stated in the Quran the aggression of the Jews and therefore, Muslims "know their downfall." Adem added: "Their end will come, and the Muslims will be the ones to do it." In addition to his position as imam of the Islamic Society of North Jersey, Khalil Adem serves as an administrative supervisor at Hackensack University Medical Center. Khalil Adem: "You know, recently, all over YouTube influencers are talking about... They are starting to expose Israel for what it really is. All the secrets are starting to come out, some classified information even, and we are not going to get into that because that could fall under conspiracy theories, not worthy of a khutbah.
"However, what we can say is that Allah told us about this the whole time in the Quran. He told us about the characteristics of the Jews. We didn't want to use 'Jewish' terminology – that word, 'Jewish' – because we are not hating anybody for their religion, but that was the way that Allah was labeling them at that time, and now we can narrow it down to Zionism, for example.
"Anybody with this sort of mentality, where they are causing corruption in the land, when they are doing mischief, causing brothers to turn against each other, causing havoc, killing, murdering, and then justifying it by saying: 'Oh, they are not like us, they are the opposite.' You know, this is how their mentality is. Anybody with this sort of mentality – that is the reference that the Quran is talking about.

"All of it is starting to make sense to us now.

"All of these American influencers – right-wing people – are saying: 'Hey, wait a minute, why is Israel controlling us? What happened to the ships that Israel bombed?' American soldiers, no one said nothing, 200 men.
"If a Muslim were to do that, or a Muslim country were to do that, we would call them terrorists, label them as Houthi rebels, and the list goes on and on. But when another group does it, it's okay.
"So they are starting to wake up to this reality. We are being controlled by a foreign entity. This is usually unacceptable even in American principles. But here we are, trying to water down what Allah has given us. Say it like it is, it is in our Book.
"We know the aggression that they have come with and we know their downfall. We know the verses [in the Quran] and Allah says they will be destroyed at the end. At the end their time will come, and the Muslims will be the ones to do it."
