Ohio immigration attorney Shayan Parsai discussed the Hajj pilgrimage to Mecca, Saudi Arabia in his June 7, 2024 Friday sermon at the Usuli Institute. He said that he hopes this would be the last time Hajj is dominated by the "disgusting" Saud clan. Parsai added that it is true that Israel and America are bad, but without the Muslim leaders, events in Palestine and Sudan would not happen. He prayed for Allah to curse the Saud clan and to "wipe them clean from our lands, help us wipe our lands clear of the disgusting group of people known as he Saud clan, rid our land of the disgusting people known as the Clan of Zayed [of the UAE]. Cleanse the Hijaz, oh Lord, by our hand, by Your hand, by any hand." The sermon was streamed live on Usuli Institute on YouTube. The Institute of Advanced Usuli Studies ("The Usuli Institute") was founded by UCLA professor of Law Dr. Khaled Abou El Fadl. On April 25, 2024, Shayan Parsai, an American-Iranian resident of Columbus, Ohio, was arrested at an Ohio State University anti-Israel demonstration.

"How dare you speak about the plight of Muslims. How dare you convene as an ummah and talk about we are going to this hajj. This hajj is the hajj in which we, the people, will come to a solution. We, the people, will finally say out loud: 'Yes, Israel bad. Yes, America bad. But if it were not for our own leaders, this would never happen. Under their watch.'

"Ya Allah, inspire us to not allow Pharoah to continue to dictate to us what is true and right. Allow this hajj to be the last hajj that is dominated by this disgusting house. Ya Allah, curse this house of Al-Saud. Wipe them clean from our lands. Help us, if it must be us, Help us to wipe our lands clear of the disgusting group of people known as Al-Saud.
"Rid our lands of the disgusting people of the clan of Zayed. Cleanse the Hijaz [region] by our hand, by your hand, by any hand, and let it become the bastion of morality. And free our holy sites from the hands of the [unintelligible]. Help us. Help us free the people of Gaza and Sudan."
