On November 26, 2024, British-Palestinian journalist Abdel Bari Atwan posted a video on his YouTube channel condemning the ceasefire in Lebanon, stating, "We have given Israel a lifeline, saving it from its greatest defeat in history." He questioned why Hizbullah's victory in attacking Israel was sold out, calling the ceasefire a "conspiracy" pushed by U.S. envoy Hochstein. Atwan criticized President Biden, referring to him as "Biden the vampire," and questioned why both Biden and Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu should be rewarded by reaching this ceasefire agreement. He expressed shock, asking why the resistance would tarnish itself by accepting such an agreement, and argued that the agreement would not prevent further destruction of Lebanese cities, which had already been devastated.
Abdel Bari-Atwan: "By Allah, I am sad, if it is true that tonight at ten, an agreement for a ceasefire in Lebanon will be signed, without an agreement for a ceasefire in Gaza. This will usher in a new phase which I never expected in my life.

"[Hizbullah's attacks against Israel] constitute a great victory. Is it conceivable that we would immediately sell out this victory, and accept Hochstein's ceasefire conspiracy? Slow down a little. The Israelis were in a hurry because they realized that they have been drowned and have been defeated. Why are we in a hurry? Be patient. Slow down a little. See what's happening.
"Why should we reward Biden, who committed the genocides in Gaza and Lebanon? Why should we reward Netanyahu, who is accused of being a war criminal, and cannot visit 124 countries? Is this our answer to the International Criminal Court? Is this our answer to Biden the vampire?

"The destruction has already happened. They have destroyed the entire Dahia. They have completely destroyed the Lebanese towns and villages on the border. They destroyed Baalbek. They destroyed Tyre. What's left for them to destroy? The destruction has already happened. If this agreement was made to prevent the destruction, it would be reasonable, but the agreement was formed after all the destruction. What do you have to lose more than you already lost?

"By Allah, I am shocked. I hope that Hizbullah says no to this agreement.

"These people are the peddlers of Lebanon. They make billions from the blood of the Lebanese people. They are the people who signed this agreement. Why would the resistance pollute itself with an agreement of this kind? Why would it tarnish its true shiny image?"
