Ziyad Nakhaleh, the Secretary-General of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, said in a May 30, 2019 interview on Al-Manar TV (Lebanon) that were it not for Iran's support of the Palestinian people and the resistance, all of Palestine would have become part of Israel and the Palestinians would be working as slaves in Israeli factories and workshops. He explained that the resistance either uses Iranian weapons or weapons manufactured locally with the assistance of Iranian expertise. He said that the resistance has the ability to fire at least 1,000 missiles per day at all of Israel's cities for several months and that there will be "no red lines" in any future confrontation. Nakhaleh added that the resistance's fighters are working on the development of missiles with warheads that weigh as much as 500 kilograms.
Ziyad Nakhaleh: "If it were not for Iran and its support of the Palestinian people – Iran has supported us with all the capabilities at its disposal – the situation in Palestine would definitely have been different. Palestine in its entirety would have turned into [part] of Israel, and the Palestinian people would have become slaves, working in Israeli factories and workshops."
Interviewer: "Some would consider these statements to be very courageous."
Ziyad Nakhaleh: "It is not courageous. This is the reality. When we are fighting Israel... We have fought using either Iranian weapons, or weapons [manufactured] with Iranian expertise. The fighters' capabilities that allow them to persevere in the face of Israel are also part of the Iranian support. Why should we be ashamed of that?

"Due to the siege, most of the weapons in the Gaza Strip have been made locally by the resistance. This is a great accomplishment. The [Israelis] think that their siege can isolate the resistance. On the contrary; the siege has led the resistance to produce its own weapons, and to improve them so they could reach Tel Aviv and all of the Israeli cities. Let me take the opportunity to say that in the most recent battle, over 700 missiles and shells were fired at Israel. In that short period, we used our military capabilities to a minimal extent. I am not exaggerating when I say that we can fire at least 1,000 missiles per day on all the Israeli cities, and for many months.

"We want Israel to understand our clear message: The resistance will have no 'red lines' in any future confrontation. Israel needs to understand this 'equation' full well. It must not carry out violations against the Palestinian civilians. Any aggression against Gaza will be followed by the shelling not only of Tel Aviv, but of all the Israeli cities, regardless of the outcome."

"There are big horizons and capabilities for the fighters dealing with weapon development... We are talking about [developing] missiles with warheads weighing 400-500 kilograms, and this will be a significant development in any future confrontation, Allah willing."
