On July 27, 2015, Sheik Khaled Al-Maghrabi could be seen preaching martyrdom to children on the streets of the Old City of Jerusalem. As a passerby scolded him, saying that he should not be teaching such notions to children, the children were led in chants in praise of martyrdom and of "Khaybar, Khaybar, oh Jews." Al-Maghrabi and the children, who were attending his summer camp at the Al-Aqsa Mosque, were prevented from entering the compound because of the riots.
Following are excerpts:
Islamic cleric Khaled Al-Maghrabi, preaching to a group of children: The martyr is absolved with the first drop of his blood. That means that Allah absolves the martyr of his sins from the first drop of blood. That means that Allah absolves the martyr of his sins from the first drop of blood. The Prophet also said that the martyr would be married off to two virgins of Paradise. Two of the virgins of Paradise are reserved for the martyr. The martyr also gets to vouch for seventy family members [on Judgment Day].
These three privileges are granted to the martyr. Let's repeat them: First of all, he is absolved with the first drop of his blood. Secondly, he is married off to two virgins of Paradise. Thirdly, he gets to vouch for seventy members of his family. In the same hadith, the Prophet mentions the murabit. Today we are all murabiteen at the gates of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, because they prevented us from going in. What does the Prophet say about the murabit? He will be married off to seventy virgins of Paradise. The martyr gets two virgins of Paradise, but the murabit gets seventy – 35 times more than the martyr.

If you stay in ribat for the sake of Allah for a whole month, it is better than fasting all the time. That is why the reward from Allah is so great. The Prophet Muhammad also talked about extras… He said that anyone who dies while in ribat…
Passerby: Listen, sheik, they do not understand what you are saying. They are children…
Woman: Say: "Allah Akbar!"
Children: Allah Akbar!
Woman: Say: "Allah Akbar!"
Children: Allah Akbar!
Woman: Say: "Allah Akbar!"
Children: Allah Akbar!
Passerby: You are talking to them about ribat, martyrdom, and the virgins of Paradise… Shame on you.
Khaled Al-Maghrabi>: Leave us alone, please. We've heard your advice. Now go.
Passerby: You can teach these lessons to [adults] like us, not to them. Look at these children. Look at what you are planting in their minds…
Khaled Al-Maghrabi: May Allah reward you…
Passerby: Shame on you!
Children: We shall sacrifice our soul and our blood for you, Al-Aqsa!
We shall sacrifice our soul and our blood for you, Al-Aqsa!
We shall sacrifice our soul and our blood for you, Al-Aqsa!
