PLO Executive Committee Secretary Saeb Erekat said that the "right-wing extremism" represented by U.S. President-Elect Donald Trump harked back to Europe of the 1920s and that the same phenomenon would be manifest in elections in France, Germany, Austria, Britain, and elsewhere. He was speaking on Palestine TV on January 9.
Saeb Erekat: "Trump is [part of] the extremist neocons. He constitutes a phenomenon that occurred in Europe in the 1920s – a phenomenon of right-wing extremism, which always creates enemies and is based on the clash of civilizations. I believe that this will be manifest in the elections in France, Germany, Austria, Britain, and elsewhere."
