Qatari PM and FM Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani detailed Qatari efforts to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza, during a January 7, 2024, press conference with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, which was aired on Al-Jazeera Network (Qatar). He said that since the start of the war, Qatar has been working towards de-escalation and taking care of the humanitarian issues. Al Thani said that Qatar has sent 59 planes of humanitarian aid to the Palestinians.
Qatari PM and FM Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani: "Since Day One [of the war], Qatar has engaged in close contacts with all its contacts in the region and the world, including the United Nations and the United States, in an effort to de-escalate, save lives, and take care of the humanitarian issues, including the release of the prisoners and detainees, and delivering humanitarian aid. So far, over 280 wounded patients have been evacuated from the Gaza Strip to Doha, and 59 planes were sent, carrying 1,850 tons of humanitarian aid, which included sheltering and food supplies, in support of our Palestinian brothers."
