Qatari sociologist Dr. Abd Al-Aziz Al-Khazraj Al-Ansari said in a video he uploaded to his popular YouTube channel on July 25, 2020 that the "rabid dogs who oppose Islam" are on the rise. He discussed a plan to film a TV series about Khalid Ibn Al-Walid – a plan that was criticized by reformist intellectuals in the Arab world, who suggested such a series would promote extremist ideology. Al-Ansari quoted tweets by journalists Ibrahim Eissa and Abdallah Wafia, and he said that if the Prophet Muhammad were here, he would hang such people from the gallows. Dr. Al-Ansari criticized people who preach "cute" Islam, "take-it-easy" Islam, and "easy-going" Islam, and said that if it were up to him, he would publicly shove his shoe into the mouths of such people. Al-Ansari said that "strong Islam" means the implementation of shari'a law, which would entail the crucifixion and the cutting off of the tongues of people like Eissa and Wafia. Dr. Abd Al-Aziz Al-Khazraj Al-Ansari: "Dear viewers, the rabid dogs who oppose Islam are on the rise these days. Let no one tell me that we should approach them with 'wisdom and beautiful preaching.' Dear brothers, if the Prophet Muhammad or the rightly guided Caliphs were here, they would not be talking to them the way I am talking to them. They would hang them from the gallows. These people are heretics. It is not just that they are infidels – they fight Allah and His Messenger. Know your religion. Let me reiterate – do not be fooled by people who preach 'cute' Islam, 'take-it-easy' Islam, easy-going Islam... They want us to address these people politely. Politely? By Allah, dear brothers, if it were up to me, I would bring [one of them] here and live on air, take off my shoe, and stick it into his mouth. What do you think about that? That is strong Islam.
