Iraqi Shi'ite militia leader Qais Khazali, the Secretary-General of Asai'b Ahl Al-Haq, delivered a public address that was uploaded to the PMU Media channel on YouTube on January 1, 2022. The address was at a rally in Baghdad in honor of the second anniversary of the U.S. assassination of IRGC Qods Force Commander Qasem Soleimani. Khazali said that the American forces in Iraq should have already learned the lessons they had been taught by the "heroes" of the Iraqi Islamic resistance. He also said that the “sons” of the resistance and the PMU will force the Americans out of Iraq, and they will leave degraded, humiliated, and despised like they did in 2012. He led the crowds in chants of, "No to America!", "Yes, to Iraq!", and "Yes to the resistance!"
Qais Khazali: "As for the American occupation, you should have realized that this great nation will never accept the occupation. You should have thoroughly learned the lessons you were taught by the heroes of the Islamic resistance in Iraq. You should have understood the messages sent to you by the heroes of the resistance in Iraq, who – with their weapons, drones, smart missiles, and all their capabilities – reached you everywhere on the land of Iraq. You should have realized that you would not be able to continue to occupy this country.
"It seems, however, that you have no understood this to this day. If you need, as it seems, more lessons, the sons of the resistance, the sons of the PMU, are entirely ready to teach you more lessons and to complete your education. They will force you to leave degraded, humiliated, and despised, like you left in 2012.
