In a meeting of the AKP Party in the province of Rize in Turkey, which was captured by CNN Türk and uploaded to YouTube on July 28, 2024, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan discussed the growth of Turkish economy, and its defense industry imports and export. He said that just like Turkey entered Nagorno-Karabakh and Libya it "will do something similar" to Israel.
Erdogan: "In the defense industry, our imports and exports [have increased significantly]. But, dear brothers and sisters, let us not be deceived. We should be very strong so that Israel cannot do this to Palestine. Just as we entered [Nagorno] Karabakh, and just as we entered Libya, we will do something similar to them. There is no [reason] not to."
