Video Circulated Online Shows Russian Wagner Group Fighter Shooting Photos Of Senior Russian Generals To Protest Ammunition Shortage: The Generals Suck – Where Is The Ammunition?

On February 22, 2023, the Russian far-right pro-war Vezhlivie Lyudi Z SVO ("Polite People Z SVO") Telegram channel shared a clip showing two masked fighters purportedly from the Russia-backed Wagner Group. One of the fighters fires his machine gun at targets depicting Russian Chief of the General Staff General Valery Gerasimov and Russian Ground Forces Chief of Staff General Aleksandr Lapin. The fighter then says: "The generals f***ing suck. You are f***ing f**gots... Where are the supplies and the ammunition? Go to f***ing war yourselves." The video was posted on the backdrop of ammunition shortages that Wagner PMC is purportedly facing in Ukraine. It should be noted that Wanger PMC head Yevgeny Prigozhin has asserted that the video is a Ukrainian fabrication.
