Head of the Palestinian community in the Netherlands Watheq Alsadeh stated in a November 8, 2024, appearance on Alghad TV (Egypt) that he believes the attacks on Israeli soccer fans in Amsterdam were "carefully preplanned" by Israel’s intelligence agencies. He suggested that it would be revealed that the Mossad was the primary orchestrator of these attacks, with the aim of "turning the tables" on Israel's image in Europe, which has been negatively affected by its "crimes" against Palestinians in Gaza.
Watheq Alsadeh: "What happened yesterday, in my opinion and in the opinion of most people, has been carefully preplanned by the intelligence agencies, and I hope that the Dutch intelligence is not complicit in this, along with the Israeli Mossad and Shin Bet.

"The mentality of the Israelis – they think that they can come to European counties with their occupiers’ mentality, and that everybody must obey their wishes and their orders... They must pay the price for what their mentality has done.”
Interviewer: “Watheq, what you are saying is very important. There are suspicions that this incident was fabricated by the Mossad, Shin Bet, and so on?”
Alsadeh: "Write down what I am telling you, and history will prove this, whether I am dead or alive [at the time], when the archives will be opened, as is customary, that the Israeli Mossad is the main planner behind what happened in Amsterdam. After 13 months of crimes against the Palestinian people in Gaza, Israel has gained a bad reputation among Europeans, and yesterday was its only chance to turn the tables, media wise, to serve its interests. Look who stands to gain from this, and you will find the Mossad and the occupation.”
