Anonymous Hack Turkish Police, Leak Data

On February 16, 2016, the hacker collective anonymous successfully hacked a server belonging to the Turkish General Directorate of Security (EGM) in response to "various abuses" by the Turkish government in recent months. The hackers stated that "in light of various government abuses in the past few months" in Turkey, they "decided to take action against the corruption."

According to reports, Anonymous leaked a total of over 17 gigabytes of data.
