An issue of a magazine released by a pro-Al-Qaeda outlet included an article about the importance of the media front in the battle between the believers and the unbelievers. The article stated that alongside military struggle, media is one the most important sites for jihad, but that to date, it has not received the emphasis it deserves. The author urged Al-Qaeda supporters to join this media battle, stressing that Allah views such activity as equal to military activity undertaken on behalf of his religion.
