On December 10, 2015, the ISIS-affiliated Caliphate Cyber Army issued a statement on Telegram in response to the upcoming Anonymous announcement of "ISIS Trolling Day", and threatened to release info on Anonymous leaders and "agents." The statement read:

"#Anonymous declares photoshop war on December 11, on the #IslamicState within the social networking sites. This is only with the explicit expression for their miserably [sic.] failure in the #Hacking operation that they declared and the #CaliphateCyberArmy promised to respond but not by #Photoshop. The #Hacked information will be posted. Information about their leaders and we will uncover of their agents publicly. Our response will be hard not childish."
