On June 19, 2016, the pro-Islamic state (ISIS) Ansar At-Tawhid media group, that publishes pro-ISIS content in French, posted a message in French titled "Safety on android/iPhone" on its Telegram channel with guidelines for its jihadi followers on how to securely use an iPhone or an Android phone. The guidelines explain how to "jailbreak" an iPhone, which apps not to use, etc.
ISIS media operatives regularly publish information and tutorials on security online so as to avoid detection by authorities.
