On September 22, 2016, a Twitter user announced that it was aiding in the collection of funds for an injured Jabhat Fath Al-Sham (JFS, formerly Jabhat Al-Nusra) fighter. According to the tweets made by the account, this fighter requires costly surgery, which would prevent paralysis from the neck down. He stated that interested parties should contact him via the encrypted messaging app Surespot. On September 29, another Twitter user shared a link to a page on the online fundraising service JustGiving, which is collecting funds for the same fighter.
