On October 9, a media outlet which supports Palestinian militant groups shared a poster in English by the president of a London-based company declaring that "emergency" donations were needed due to the "war on Gaza." Quoting Quranic verses promising Paradise to those who perform good deeds and urging Muslims to donate to the needy, the poster asserts that "Gaza is in need of EMERGENCY medication, food, and shelter." Providing the details of a Barclay's bank account – apparently belonging to the company president – for donations, the poster listed two Gaza-based organizations as its partners.
On October 11, the outlet continued to post requests for donations on Telegram, providing a QR code to a Blockchain address showing a sum of Ethereum cryptocurrency.
