On February 23, 2023, an Iran-backed Telegram channel which shares content in Arabic addressing international conflicts, particularly the war in Ukraine, indicated in a post that it is "cooperating" with a Russia-based Telegram channel run by a former Russian Defense Ministry official.
In a post marking Russia's Defender of the Fatherland Day, which celebrates the armed forces and commemorates the founding of the Red Army, the Iranian Telegram channel declared that it is working with a high-profile pro-Kremlin Telegram run by a former Russian Defense Ministry press officer.
