On March 21, 2023, a pro-Hay'at Tahrir Al-Sham (HTS) Telegram channel posted a short video which it claimed was linked to Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC). The video threatened Azerbaijan with an attack using Shahed-136 suicide drones, and feature onscreen text in Farsi, translated by the channel into Arabic as: "Our message to [Azerbaijan President] Aliyev[:] we will arrive someday."
