The Islamic State "Hacking Division," a pro-ISIS hacker group, has released a large collection of names, emails and other sensitive information which allegedly belongs to U.S. military and government personnel.
A tweet by the group's official account (@IS_Hacking_Div) reads: "Takbeer ALLHU AKBAR: U.S. Military And Government HACKED by the Islamic State Hacking Division!>>>LEAK"
The info includes the full names, department, email, physical address, phone number, and supposed passwords to the emails of hundreds of individuals. Link to the info was posted on the group's Twitter account.
Tweet announcing the hack (link blurred by MEMRI)The Islamic State Hacker Division Twitter account has currently 211 followers while it follows 20 accounts, including that of several Western ISIS fighters, Western media outlets, and the account of radical British cleric Anjem Choudary.
The group also provides several means to contact it, including via the secure communication apps Wickr and Kik and via email.
