Media outlets of the Iran-backed Lebanese Hizbullah claimed that on June 26, 2023 the group's fighters shot down an Israeli drone as it flew near the village of Zibqine in southern Lebanon, near the border with Israel.[1] Hizbullah published a video and several images of the drone, claiming it was a "R-Copter 1000" and included two "high quality cameras."[2]

The spokesman of the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) for Arab media tweeted the same day that during routine activities an IDF drone fell inside Lebanese territory. He added that the loss of the drone does not pose a risk of information leakage.[3]
