On July 26, 2023, a Telegram channel which supports Iran-backed militias in Iraq published a poster depicting the hand of Qasem Soleimani ordering a drone attack against the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad. The poster's caption reads in Arabic and English: "The hand of Haj Qassem is leading the operations."
