On August 16, 2021, a pro-Islamic State (ISIS) media group announced on Telegram that is recruiting "sincere supporters" to help launch "raids" and distribute pro-ISIS material on Instagram and YouTube, in keeping with the orders of former ISIS leader Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi and current leader Abu Ibrahim Al-Hashemi. The group provided a link to a Telegram bot as a contact.
